Move-Out 2025

We are excited to announce that Emory recovered 40,670 lbs of donated materials during this year’s Move Out!

Every spring at Emory, you will see donation kiosks and trucks placed across campus in preparation for our students’ moveout at the end of the academic year. The Don’t Dump It, Donate It” program, sponsored by Emory Recycles, the Office of Sustainability Initiatives,  and Residence Life and Housing Operations, provides students with an outlet to donate their unwanted items. Donations can include furniture, electronics, small household items, clothing, school supplies, books, and non-perishable food. All proceeds from the sale of these items benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta through Emory’s partnership with America’s Thrift.

We are especially grateful to all our Zero Waste Ambassadors who supported us during MoveOut.

To get involved with zero-waste efforts on campus, you can join Emory’s Zero Waste Ambassador program. Please email justin.bright@emory.edu for more information on how to get involved.
