#Reclaim: If you’ve had a chance to spend time outside lately, you may have noticed that everything seems quieter. Or that maybe the birds are louder. As the usual hum of public life has recently turned faint, nature has responded in remarkable ways. Wildlife is being noticed in unusual places. Scientists are observing less seismic noise. Some of the world’s most polluted cities are seeing dramatic improvements in air quality. We’re beginning to see how humans affect the natural world and at the same time, how the natural world reacts in our absence.
