Virtual Earth Month – (Re)connect with Sustainability Innovators
April 22, 2020
#Reconnect: Today, on the 50th anniversary of #EarthDay, we are connecting and reconnecting with ourselves, with each other, with the species with which we share the planet, and with Mother Earth herself. We hope you are, too, and in ways that foster more of the gratitude, activism and solidarity stoked on the first Earth Day in 1970.
Today, we are honored to help you (re)connect with this year’s Emory University and Emory Healthcare Robert S. Hascall Sustainability Innovators and Outstanding Sustainability Representative! Annually, OSI recognizes those among us who employ research, academics, engagement and leadership to foster sustainability in the Emory enterprise and broader community. They inspire us every day, but today, on Earth Day, we want to recognize and thank them for all they do to care for people and for the planet:
🌎 Rebecca Philipsborn, Healthcare Sustainability Innovator – Pediatics, Emory University School of Medicine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
🌎 Bree Ettinger, Faculty Sustainability Innovator – Department of Mathematics, Emory College of Arts and Sciences
🌏 Tjuan Dogon, Staff Innovator – Emory’s Office of Government and Community Affairs
🌏 Claire Dahklia, Undergraduate Student Innovator – Emory University Department of Chemistry
🌎 Elena Jordanov, Graduate Student Innovator – Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health at Rollins
🌏 Sara McKlin, Outstanding Sustainability Representative – Candler School of Theology – Emory University
