Sustainability Vision Conversation and Input Guide

This page provides information and resources for users or potential users of the Sustainability Vision Conversation and Input Guides. Keep reading to learn more!

Facilitate a conversation with your friends, classmates, or colleagues using a Sustainability Vision Conversation and Input Guide: Use a Sustainability Vision Conversation and Input Guide to facilitate a small group conversation about sustainability at Emory. Using the guides, Emory community members will be able to gather with friends and colleagues, share meaningful conversation, learn from each other, and share any resulting feedback with the Office of Sustainability Initiatives and the Visioning Committee. To learn more about Emory’s Sustainability Vision and Strategic Plan for 2025-2036, click here.

This guide might be perfect for you if you are unable to attend any in-person or online input sessions, if you would like to submit your input at your own pace, or if you would like to bring your friends or colleagues into the conversation about sustainability at Emory. The Guide is available as a PDF which features facilitator’s notes and as a more streamlined slide deck. If you would like to lead a conversation, we encourage you to use the PDF document as an aid for yourself and share the slide deck (as a PDF or PowerPoint Presentation) as a visual for your group.

If you would like to facilitate a conversation, follow these steps:

  • Gather a group of three to 10 friends or colleagues to spend between 30-90 minutes in conversation.
  • Share the slide deck or PDF version of this guide so that your group can follow along.
  • Facilitate a group conversation using the resources and discussion questions in the guide. Use the facilitator’s notes in the PDF to help you lead discussion.
  • Encourage your group to use their devices to complete the accompanying input survey throughout the conversation.
  • Debrief and share your input by submitting the survey.

Please feel free to email us at emorysustainability@emory.edu with any questions about this guide or the Sustainability Visioning Process.
