Throughout November, OSI will be highlighting ways to reduce and divert waste from area landfills. By reducing waste, recycling and composting at Emory, we reduce greenhouse gas emissions from landfills, enhance environmental justice by reducing the negative effects of landfills on already marginalized populations, and decrease habitat loss and animal displacement due to landfills. Come volunteer in the gardens! No tools are required. Come dressed for garden work. All open work days are 1 hour long. For more information, and to be added to the gardens email list, contact Erik Edwards at gardens@emory.edu. The Depot garden is located next to Kaldi's Depot. Rain will cancel or delay the workday.
