Emory’s Office of Sustainability Initiatives (OSI) hires undergraduates (FWS and non-FWS), graduate students, and Rollins Earn and Learn (REAL) program participants as interns throughout the school year and summer. Interns are paid hourly.

OSI relies heavily on the work of interns for research, benchmarking, implementation, and outreach in all areas of sustainability. Based on student interests and OSI’s needs, interns work on a variety of projects in the areas of energy, water, waste, transportation, food, green building and other sustainability initiatives. OSI does not have extra office space for students, so work is done remotely with regular meetings with staff to discuss projects.

OSI is now hiring for Summer 2017 Communications Intern, Garden Intern and multiple General Interns. Interns will be offered and expected to work a minimum of 10 hours per week up to the maximum of 20 hours per week. Position descriptions are below. Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students interested in being considered for these positions should email their current resume, cover letter and availability to Taylor Spicer at tspicer@emory.edu no later than noon on Friday, March 24, 2017.

Available Positions:
  • Communications Intern
  • General Intern
  • Garden Intern
