Decatur Garden Tour logoJoin your neighbors and friends for the 20th annual Decatur Garden Tour, Sept. 27 through 28. This year, 16 local gardens will be featured to ticket holders and other highlights, including:

• On Saturday, Sept. 27 hardy native species plants will be for sale. There will be children's activities, a walk and talk with Ryan Gainey and a Piedmont Tree ID walk and talk with Ecologist David Funderburk.
• On Sunday, Sept. 28 another plant sale will be featured at the Oakhurst Community Garden. Tour goers can also learn more about native plants at "The Wonderful World of Native Plants," presented by John Manion, historic gardens curator.

Tickets are currently on sale for $25, and all proceeds are shared by the Oakhurst Community Garden Project and the Decatur Preservation Alliance and used to support their operations and programs. To purchase tickets, visit www.decaturgardentour.com/tickets.php

If you want to get more involved and get your hands dirty, volunteers are needed for both days. Volunteers work in the private gardens and receive free admission to the garden tour in return. Please contact rcarr@jbplusa.com to volunteer.

This year's garden tour is sponsored by the Clifton Community Partnership.
